Life within Reason: Law and Politics at the Frontiers of Biology

Montag, den 25. Juli 2016

The ethical, legal, and social dilemmas now presenting themselves at the frontiers of biological research complicate everyday understandings of the relations between scientific and social progress, such as technological determinism and the law lag, which attribute to science an almost unlimited capacity to remake social meanings and values. Save the date: to 13:00 at the Institute of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention (Room F05) – 84 Hirschengraben, 8001 Zürich. The seminar is free of charge. GEO401 – INTEGRATIVE PROJECT HS2016/FS2017 (6 ECTS)

Do you want to be part of a cool citizen science project?
Then this course is for you!

We encourage both geography students and students from other departments to join this interdisciplinary project course. The more variable the backgrounds and skills of the course participants, the more opportunities there are to develop a successful citizen science project. Due to the focus on the project, this course will have a somewhat irregular schedule with a reserved time slot on Thursdays 16:15-18:00.
